The City's Finance Department has consistently been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association for its high professional accounting standards, fiscal integrity, transparency, and accessibility to the public.

The department is responsible for the City's accounting processes and systems, overseeing the City's many budgetary funds as well as accounts receivable and payable, and City payroll. The department continuously strives to ensure that the City receives clean audits. 

The Finance Department also closely monitors customers' utility accounts, and helps track payments for business licenses, building permits, and taxes.
