Who do I call if there is a water leak?
If you suspect a water leak and have checked to ensure that no faucets are leaking or toilets are running, call 770-464-2380 and ask for the Utilities Department.
What if I suspect a gas leak?
If you smell gas, leave the area immediately and call City Hall (during business hours) at 770-464-2380 or 911 (after hours) from a neighboring home or business. Never turn on or off switches or use a flashlight or phone in the presence of the gas smell, because an electric spark could ignite the gas, causing an explosion.
Who do I contact for a new trash bin?

Give your name, address, and phone number. Let us know if you want to swap an old or damaged bin for a new one, have a trash bin removed, or have an extra trash bin delivered.
Extra bins cost $18.74 per bin per month. Senior citizens can apply for a discount on trash rates if they have been current on their Utility bills for 12 months. The discount amounts to $16.90 per month per bin.
Trash is picked up Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday depending on your street address.
Recycling is picked up on Thursdays.

Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the City of Social Circle.

Public Works
Public Works oversees and maintains the City of Social Circle's infrastructure which includes streets, water distribution and treatment, wastewater, gas and two City cemeteries. Public Works has crews continuously working to upgrade services and City roadways.
The City is currently planning to make major upgrades to its water system to prepare for anticipated residential and commercial growth. For more background on this project, the public is invited to read the most recent draft of the Environmental Planning Document. A link can also be found on the Public Notices page.
In addition, the City has proposed making upgrades to the sewerage system to include the design and construction of a bypass regional pump station, sewer lines, force main lines, rehabilitation of sewer lines throughout the City and updates to the City’s SCADA system.

The Department plans and budgets for future improvements and prepares for expected population growth. Social Circle Public Works has several master plans in place.
