Purpose of Main Street program

Year-round events for residents and visitors are planned by the City's Main Street Department. But that is not all we do!

Main Street actively seeks ways to maintain our smalltown atmosphere, to preserve our quality of life, and to create the best business climate for quality growth.

Our Main Street program is dedicated to making our downtown area attractive to new businesses and to helping new businesses navigate the process of getting their business started here.

Social Circle offers folks of all ages a myriad of events and activities throughout the year! Bring the family and make new friends at any or all of our happenings downtown.

Christmas Tree Lighting and Celebration

2024

Join us for our annual Christmas Tree lighting and Christmas Celebration. We will kick off the night by lighting the tree, then walk through Friendship Park and participate in Christmas-themed games and activities. Santa and the Grinch will be there for free photos with the kids. Take a cup of hot chocolate, make smores, and go on a hayride around Downtown!

Join us for our very first Christmas parade! Applications will be accepted until November 8, and the parade will be December 6 at 6:30 p.m. Come celebrate with us and dress up as a character from your favorite Christmas movie!
