A General Election for Social Circle Mayor, District 2 and 4 City Council Member seats and District 1 and 4 City School Board Member seats and a Special Election for School Board Chairman in conjunction with the General Election will be held Nov. 7, 2023. Those who would like to qualify to run for office can do so from 8:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 166 N. Cherokee Road. To qualify, you must file a Notice of Candidacy and pay a qualifying fee: $306.00 for Mayor; $216.00 for District 2 and 4 City Council seats; $18 for District 1 and 4 City School Board Member seats and for School Board Chairman.
